They charge me with fanaticism

These words could have come from my own mouth:
"They charge me with fanaticism. If to be feelingly alive to the sufferings of my fellow-creatures is to be a fanatic, I am one of the most incurable fanatics ever permitted to be at large"
(William Wilberforce, abolitionist).

I'm so glad I came across your blog. In the last few months, the Lord has given me a strong desire to be involved in missions. I've sensed a calling to ministry for a few years, but haven't been sure what kind of ministry. Now it's very clear to me that I want to be a missionary. I can't believe I've been so blind to all the suffering in the world, and I realize too many of us are. So, those of us who wake up and realize that we have so much more than we need should do whatever we can.

Anyway, I know your blog will be an inspiration to me! I'm putting a link to it on my blog.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on poverty!
